Christian Ntizimira: How can Rwanda’s youth reshape Palliative Care?
Christian Ntizimira, Executive Director of ACREOL, shared a post on X:
“How can Rwanda’s youth reshape Palliative Care?
This World Cancer Day, Medsar Rwanda and ACREOL Global hosted a debate across 4 universities:
- University of Global Equity (UGHE)
- University of Rwanda (UR)
- African Leadership University (ALU)
- Catholic Institute of Kabgayi (ICKA)
on the role of young people in transforming Palliative care. Here’s what we learned.
The university debate highlighted bold ideas, like integrating palliative care education into healthcare curriculums, promoting community outreach, and leveraging tech for innovative care delivery.
It’s time to break the misconception that palliative care equals death. Normalizing conversations and empowering youth can democratize palliative care in Rwandan society.”
