“Can we shift the narrative from ‘shared decision-making’ to ‘informed decision-making’ so that the focus is where it should be – on patients/families being fully informed?
Patients and families need all the information about treatment options to understand, ask the right questions, weigh their options, and make treatment decisions based on their preferences and what matters to them/their families.
Just a thought.”
