Afreen Shariff: Uniting for a Future Without suffering from side effects and toxicities
Afreen Shariff, Association of Cancer Care Centre, shared on LinkedIn:
“World Cancer Day: Uniting for a Future Without suffering from side effects and toxicities.
Today, on World Cancer Day, we stand in solidarity with patients, survivors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals who navigate the complexities of cancer every day. At Citrus Oncology, we are deeply committed to transforming cancer care—ensuring that no one walks this journey alone.
Cancer and treatment related toxicities affects not just the body but the spirit, families, and entire communities. While progress is being made in treatment and research, disparities in access to care remain. This day reminds us that every person deserves timely, high-quality, and compassionate care—regardless of where they live or their circumstances.
We dedicate our work to:
Advancing cutting-edge solutions for better patient outcomes
Supporting those affected with holistic, patient-centered care
Breaking barriers to ensure equity in cancer care
Raising awareness and amplifying the voices of patients and caregivers
To everyone facing cancer: You are not alone. Your strength inspires us, your stories fuel our mission, and your hope keeps us pushing forward. Together, we can close the care gap and move toward a world where cancer side effects and toxicities are no longer life-altering but a battle that can be won.
Join us in raising awareness, advocating for change, and supporting those in need. Let’s turn action into impact—because multi displinary cancer care should be a right, not a privilege.”
