“I had the distinct privilege of meeting Professor Roger Stupp at the Hong Kong and Shanghai Brain Consortium (HSBC) Brain Tumors Symposium cohosted by CUHK Medicine and Huashan Hospital, Fudan University
As a pioneer in the field of glioma treatment, his groundbreaking work has transformed the landscape of neuro-oncology.
Professor Stupp is renowned for his development of the Stupp protocol, which incorporates the use of temozolomide in conjunction with radiotherapy for glioblastoma patients. His research has not only improved survival rates but also redefined standard care practices, making a lasting impact on patient outcomes.
Engaging with such a leading figure in oncology was an inspiring experience. His insights into current challenges and future directions in glioma research emphasize the critical need for continued collaboration and innovation in our field.
