Ravindran Kanesvaran: Evidence-based ESMO guidelines for Asian populations
Ravindran Kanesvaran, Chairman of the Division of Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The ESMO Pan-Asian Guidelines Adaptation (PAGA) initiative aims to contextualize evidence-based European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) guidelines for Asian populations, addressing regional variations in healthcare systems, genetic profiles, and treatment accessibility. These guidelines provide tailored recommendations to ensure optimal cancer care across Asia, empowering clinicians with practical, region-specific guidance.
In an exciting development, the Singapore Society of Oncology (SSO) has been selected to spearhead the PAGA bladder cancer guidelines for 2025. I am deeply honored to lead this project on behalf of SSO, collaborating with multidisciplinary experts across Asia to develop impactful guidelines. Together, we aim to bridge the gap between global evidence and regional needs, enhancing the quality and equity of cancer care for bladder cancer patients in Asia.”
