Svetlana Nikic: Changing the Game in Precision Oncology Education
Svetlana Nikic, Founder at Precision Oncology Consulting, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Precision oncology is evolving rapidly. Yet many professionals struggle to keep pace. Here’s how we’re changing that.
I’m excited to share insights from our recent industry poll that revealed a significant gap in precision oncology education.
While the response rate was modest, the findings were eye-opening: nearly 80% of professionals rely on self-learning or lack a structured approach to stay current in this rapidly evolving field.
Key Challenges in Precision Oncology Education:
- Rapidly Evolving Biomarkers: The landscape of molecular targets and testing methodologies continues to expand at an unprecedented pace.
- Liquid Biopsy Breakthroughs: New technologies and applications emerge frequently, requiring constant updates to knowledge and protocols.
- Clinical Guideline Updates: Keeping track of evolving treatment recommendations across different cancer types and molecular subtypes becomes increasingly complex.
- Variable Reimbursement Processes: Understanding and navigating different payment models across geographies presents ongoing challenges.
These factors make it increasingly difficult for commercial, medical, and market access teams to maintain alignment and stay informed about the latest developments. The need for structured, comprehensive education has never been more pressing. Introducing the Precision Oncology Bootcamp:
To address these challenges, I’m thrilled to announce that we’re launching a specialized bootcamp this October. We’ve assembled an exceptional team of industry veterans, including experienced medical oncologists and commercial leaders, to develop a comprehensive curriculum that addresses these critical knowledge gaps.
The program will provide:
- Updates on latest developments
- Cross-functional perspectives
- Structured learning pathways
- Real-world case studies
- Expert-led sessions
For those interested in being part of our pilot group or gaining early access to this innovative educational initiative, I welcome you to reach out directly. We’re committed to building a program that truly serves the needs of precision oncology professionals.
More details about the bootcamp structure and curriculum will be shared in the coming weeks. Together, we can ensure that professionals across the precision oncology landscape have the knowledge and tools they need to drive better patient outcomes.”
