Cynthia Jordan: Transforming Breast Cancer Awareness into Action

Cynthia JordanBreast Cancer Advocate, posted the following on LinkedIn:

“How do we stop the scroll?

How do we wake people up to learn more about breast cancer and stop treating a mammogram as just a routine exam? How do we empower them to ask the right questions and ensure they’ve covered all their bases?

The truth is, 80–85% of women diagnosed with breast cancer have no family history.

I was one of them.

Six years ago, my diagnosis turned my world upside down. I thought I had done everything right—I got my mammograms, they were normal, and I had no family history. But what I didn’t realize was that breast cancer is far more complex than I ever knew.

This is about more than awareness—it’s about action.

It’s about educating people on all aspects of breast health, from prevention and detection to treatment and survivorship, so they can make informed decisions and take control of their journey.

To ensure the information we share is accurate and trusted, I’m working with 20 incredible doctors who serve as medical advisors. They help break down the complexity of this disease, providing medically vetted conversations and information on everything we do. This collaboration allows us to empower people with the knowledge they need, backed by expert guidance.

At Learn Look Locate, we’ve created a global community built on authenticity and compassion. It’s a place where survivors, doctors, and experts come together to provide:

  • Emotional support and shared experiences
  • Clear, empowering education on breast health and cancer
  • Access to the latest innovations in detection and treatment

This is my purpose: to transform what I’ve learned into something meaningful that empowers others. Because no one should feel caught off guard like I did.
