“Day 21: The Importance of Survivor Care and Support
Beating cancer is just the beginning of the journey. For childhood cancer survivors, the road to recovery extends beyond that. Survivor care is crucial, ensuring these children can live healthy, fulfilling lives post-treatment. At the Campus Cancer Awareness Initiative Nigeria (CCAIN) , we are committed to not only supporting families through the battle with cancer but also beyond it. This includes follow-up care, psychological support, and community reintegration.
In Nigeria, where healthcare systems are often stretched, this care is often overlooked. We must remember that survival is not enough— these children deserve the opportunity to thrive after the fight.”
