Women in the health and care sector earn 24 percent less than men
“Today, on International Equal Pay Day, we recognize a critical issue highlighted by WHO and ILO: women in the health and care sector face a staggering 24 percent pay gap compared to men across the sector.
With women making up 67% of the global workforce in this vital sector, closing this gap is essential for achieving gender equality and empowering women.
Key steps to address the pay gap:

- Investing in decent jobs
- Promoting pay transparency
- Tackling the motherhood gap
