Lisa A. Lacasse: Affordable health coverage is one of the top issues regardless of party affiliation

Lisa A. Lacasse shared a post on LinkedIn:

“New polling from American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN)‘s Cancer Votes campaign finds roughly 80% of voters say access to affordable health coverage is one of the top issues they’re paying attention to regardless of party affiliation. The poll findings also showed 78% of voters were more likely to vote for a candidate who supported making permanent the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) enhanced tax credits.

‘We want those candidates to be addressing these issues, because they are important and top of mind for individuals. They worry about the cost of health care. They worry about whether or not they’ll be able to get cancer screenings,’ said Philip O’Brien, Cancer Votes National Ambassador and ACS CAN Board member.

A big thanks to Phil for his incredible work this election season, elevating patient voices ensuring our cancer priorities are at the forefront, as well as our awesome volunteer in Nevada featured in this story Samantha Gonzales-Russell a cervical cancer survivor.
