How to Reduce Unnecessary Hospitalisations and Improve Quality of Life – UICC
Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Early integration of supportive and palliative care reduces unnecessary hospitalisations and improves the quality of life for people going through cancer and other life-threatening diseases. But inadequate policies, training, and funding, limit access to quality supportive care in many countries, especially LMICs.
By 2030, all countries should have developed, and be implementing, palliative and supportive care strategies nationally, either as part of UHC, national cancer control plans or standalone strategies.”
