BeOne Medicines also shared their official announcement:
“News for Investors and Media
Together, with the BeOne Care Foundation, we’re renewing our partnership with The Max Foundation to expand access to treatment for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in low- and middle-income countries.
The collaboration launched in 2023 will be extended through 2028, supporting patients in Armenia, Ethiopia, and Nepal, with expansion into additional countries.
Cancer has no borders, neither do we. This marks an important stride in our purpose to eliminate barriers to accessible cancer care.”
Reflecting on the human impact of the initiative, Pat Garcia-Gonzalez, Chief Executive Officer at The Max Foundation, shared:
“Today, I’m thinking about the people behind this announcement:
- People who have waited too long for care
- Families navigating cancer with uncertainty and courage
- Clinicians doing everything they can, often with limited resources
Our renewed partnership at The Max Foundation with BeOne Medicines and the BeOne Care Foundation is about patient‑centered collaboration. When access exists, hope becomes real.
Through our partnership, hundreds of people living with chronic lymphocytic leukemia in low‑ and middle‑income countries have been able to receive treatment. With this renewal, we can reach hundreds more in the years ahead.”
Emphasizing the power of long-term collaboration, Christine Riley Miller, Executive Director (VP) of Global Responsible Business and Sustainability at BeOne Medicines, added:
“Meaningful progress happens through strong partnerships. Excited to see this collaboration with The Max Foundation continue, expanding access to treatment and support for people living with CLL in underserved communities.”
