Why the EU’s 2028–2034 Budget Matters for Lung Cancer Care – Lung Cancer Europe

Lung Cancer Europe shared on LinkedIn:

The future of lung cancer care depends on more than medicines.

The EU is negotiating its 2028 to 2034 budget, and those decisions will influence investment in cancer research, innovation and public health for the next seven years.

The European Cancer Organisation has published a new briefing on the state of negotiations, flagging proposed funding reductions and changes to how future health funding decisions could be made.

Continued investment supports earlier detection, accurate diagnosis, biomarker testing and fair access to care across Europe. The outcome of these negotiations will influence the programmes that make that possible from 2028 onwards.

Read more on the current state of negotiations and what they could mean for lung cancer.”
