“Childhood cancer requires us to work together, across institutions and borders.
At the 2nd International Meeting for Childhood Cancer Care in the Americas, organized by the IMSS, Dr. Noé Narváez, pediatric oncologist at the CMN 20 de Noviembre, ISSSTE, participated in the table on Childhood Cancer Incidence and Referral Networks for Timely Care.
A space of great relevance to share experiences and strategies, strengthen inter-institutional collaboration and move towards more efficient and timely reference networks for children and adolescents with cancer.
From the ISSSTE, the Golden Code represents an experience that seeks to transform the suspicion of cancer into a timely care route, reducing barriers and preventing the place where a child is born or lives from determining their opportunities to receive specialized care.
Childhood cancer should not have a zip code.
The response must be collective, coordinated and evidence-based.”
