“Keeping Palliative Care on Track
In 2023, the Rwanda Biomedical Centre refined the Palliative Care Patients Register, a vital tool that helps Health Care Professionals to track patients, follow up, and coordinate the right support for them and their families.
To build on this effort, we brought together palliative care focal persons and data managers from Byumba Level 2 Teaching Hospital, Masaka District Hospital, and Kabuga Hospice, spanning rural, urban, and semi-urban communities, to strengthen their skills in using the register.
ACREOL Global will continue to support Rwanda Biomedical Centre to ensure the register is applied effectively, so that patients and their families receive timely and well-coordinated care.
