12 Posts Not To Miss From Day 3 of ASCOBT24!

This Year the ASCO Breakthrough (ASCOBT24) was held in Yokohama, Japan from 8th to 10th of August, jointly organized by the Japan Society of Clinical Oncology (JSCO) and Japanese Society of Medical Oncology (JSMO). It focused on showcasing significant advancements and innovations in oncology.

As the event came to its end, here are some highlights from Day 3 of ASCOBT24 that you should not miss!

“How can Machine Learning be used to identify depression in patients with gynecological cancers? ASCO Expert in AI Dr. Julian Hong explains ASCOBT24 research on using voice recordings to screen for depression and how it’s a good first step for bringing technology into the cancer clinic. See the science.”

Chika Kitajima

“We had very fruitful interactions and exchanges with city cancer care stakeholders and experts from the Asia-Pacific region over the past two days, held in conjunction with ascobt24 in Yokohama, Japan. Several immediate and near-future collaboration opportunities were identified. In a world that is virtually connected, face-to-face meetings still hold immense value.”

Very honoured to host Dr Shimon Sakaguchi of Tregs who delivered a wonderful lecture on Tregs in tumour immunity. Unbelievable how much we learnt in an hour on this topic. Grateful to ASCO for this opportunity to bring this knowledge to Asia.

Great job by Dr Andrew Miles and Annie Wong discussing about management of melanoma. This is really a disease of Oceania and no people better than them to show us how it is done!
