“Congratulations to Dr. Juan Alderuccio on receiving the Blood Cancer United Scholar in Clinical Research Award, providing up to $625K over five years to advance three clinical trials for patients with large B-cell lymphoma!
Dr. Alderuccio is leading three investigator-initiated trials exploring new treatment combinations for patients with difficult-to-treat lymphoma and personalized approaches that could reduce the need for prolonged chemotherapy.
‘We are entering a remarkable era in lymphoma research,’ said Dr. Alderuccio. ‘Our growing understanding of disease biology, along with powerful technologies such as ctDNA and significant advances in drug development, are allowing us to develop more precise therapies that can improve outcomes while reducing treatment-related toxicity through shorter treatment programs.”
Together, these studies aim to expand treatment options for patients whose cancer has resisted standard therapies while identifying opportunities to safely reduce treatment intensity for others.
