Paolo Tarantino, Clinical Research Fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, shared Stephen Liu’s post on X, adding:
“Very interesting to see a comparable rate of HER2 IHC temporal changes in lung and breast cancer!
For reference, we observed:

Suggests this may be more of a biomarker-related feature than a disease-related feature.
Stephen Liu, Chief, Division of Hematology and Oncology at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, shared:
“HER2 IHC expression, which guides use of T-DXd, is dynamic – at least in EGFR mutant NSCLC.
In 145 pts with EGFR mutant NSCLC and biopsies pre/post TKI therapy, HER2 increased in 26%, decreased in 31%, and was unchanged in 43%. When possible, biopsy!”
