“New OM research report!
The CURE OM initiative announces the recent publication of a new meeting report in Pigment Cell & Melanoma Research which summarizes several innovative and exciting research updates, presented at the CURE OM Global Science Meeting in October 2025, with potential high impact for the OM patient community.
One of the most encouraging updates involved darovasertib, a drug used before surgery or radiation that helps shrink tumors in most patients treated, helping to avoid eye removal and reducing radiation near the vision, according to early studies.
Researchers also shared early progress on therapies that help the immune system better recognize and attack uveal melanoma tumors, an approach that’s historically been difficult for this cancer type, along with newer tools for tracking how well treatments are working.”
