Srividya Swaminathan explains how a City of Hope preclinical study uncovered the ways acute lymphoblastic leukemia interferes with dendritic cells that normally activate the body’s cancer-fighting response.
The findings could eventually help clinicians identify patients at increased risk of relapse and determine who may need more than standard therapy.
