Igor Tsaur: DEPECA-1 Achieves a Major Milestone With 80% Recruitment

Igor Tsaur, Director and Chairman, Department of Urology at University Hospital Tübingen, shared on LinkedIn:

“Milestone Reached – 80% Recruitment in the DEPECA-1 Study!

We are thrilled to share a major achievement: In our DEPECA-1 trial evaluating Enfortumab Vedotin and Avelumab in patients with metastatic penile cancer, we have successfully enrolled 20 out of 25 patients (80%)!

We are on the home stretch!

Conducting clinical trials in rare cancers is notoriously challenging. This milestone demonstrates the feasibility and efficiency of clinical research using our DEPECA platform.A huge thank you to all our clinical and industry partners, study teams, and physicians for their dedication and outstanding collaboration in making this happen! Together, we are driving innovative treatment options forward.”

The DEPECA-1 trial is the first systematic Phase II study to evaluate response and survival outcomes with a combination of the antibody-drug conjugate enfortumab vedotin and the PD-L1 inhibitor avelumab in patients with locally advanced and metastatic penile squamous cell carcinoma (PeCa) in the first-line setting.
