Ibrahim Halil Sahin: Exclusiveness of BRAF Alterations and HER2 Amplification in Colorectal Cancer
Ibrahim Halil Sahin, Assistant Professor at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, shared a post on X:
“Our paper regarding the incidence rates of RAS/RAF/PIK3CA alterations in HER2 amplified CRC is now out.
Svea, an extraordinarily talented medical student from University of Pittsburgh led this study in which we first showed mutually exclusiveness of BRAF alterations and HER2 amplification in CRC.
Notably, RAS/PIK3CA alteration rates appears to be visibly different in HER2 amplified colon vs rectal cancer indicating biologically difference even at subgroup level.”
