“We are pleased to share our new document, Cancer in the Commonwealth: The Lancet Group Oncology Commission.
Cancer is an increasingly urgent public health challenge across the Commonwealth. Between 2008 and 2018, recorded cancer cases increased by 35%, and nearly 1.7 million people died from cancer in 2018.
Behind these figures are profound inequalities in access to timely diagnosis and quality treatment. Addressing these gaps is essential to improving cancer outcomes across the Commonwealth.
Read the article to explore the findings and recommendations of the Commission.”
