Estela Rodriguez, Associate Director of Community Outreach-Thoracic Oncology at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, shared on X:
“FDA approval of sevabertinib for 1L HER2-mutant NSCLC
SOHO-1 trial (n=69)
1st line Stage IV NSCLC with HER2 (ERBB2) activating mutations:
- ORR: 75% (95% CI, 64–85)
- 73% of responders had DOR ≥6 mos (38% had DOR ≥12 mos)
Diarrhea, hepatotoxicity, ILD/pneumonitis, ocular toxicity and pancreatic enzyme elevations.
How do we decide where this fits in 1L treatment?
Now we have 2 oral TKIs , one ADC (TDxd approved 2nd line) that are better than chemo upfront for HER2+ lung cancer and why.”
