“On the importance of publishing negative studies: More data about lack of benefit of consolidative RT in ES-SCLC and caution when adding RT+ maintenance IO.
Ph2 of atezolizumab + consolidative TRT (n=68). Study closed early due to infections and pulm toxicity.”
Quoting JAMA Oncology:
“Adding consolidative thoracic radiotherapy to atezolizumab maintenance for extensive-stage small cell lung cancer led to more severe toxic effects, mainly infections, without survival benefit compared to atezolizumab alone.”
