David Gandara: DESTINY-Lung04 Phase III Results: Will Improved PFS Translate to Overall Survival?

David Gandara, Co-Director of the Center for Experimental Therapeutics at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, shared an update from Masahiro Torasawa, Assistant Professor at Juntendo University, on X, adding:

“Re – Destiny-Lung04, Phase III of T-DXd vs Chemo in HER2-mutated NSCLC. Big news, although these results anticipated. Will it translate into improved overall survival?”

Quoting Masahiro Torasawa:

Phase 3 DESTINY-Lung04 met its primary endpoint 1L T-DXd significantly improved PFS versus pembro + chemo in advanced HER2m-NSCLC. First P3 trial to show a HER2-directed therapy outperforming the global standard of care in this setting!”
