“Today I learned that in patients with metastatic HR+ breast cancer, ESR1 mutations (acquired resistance mutation to aromatase inhibitors) is better detected by ctDNA than testing tumor tissue. Possibly because it’s a subclonal mutation, it won’t be present in all tissue biopsied.”
