Zaven Petrosyan

Zaven Petrosyan is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, anatomy lecturer, and medical writer and guest editor at OncoDaily. His work connects clinical medicine, oncology, and scientific communication, translating complex evidence into clear, clinically grounded content for professional and public audiences.

He teaches human anatomy at Erebuni Medical Academy Foundation and serves as a medical coordinator and editor at Wikimedia Armenia. In this role, he has edited, translated, and authored more than 220 medical articles for Armenian Wikipedia, contributing to the availability of reliable Armenian-language medical information. His clinical experience includes maxillofacial surgery at Medline Clinic and the Central Clinical Military Hospital in Yerevan.

Dr. Petrosyan received his Doctor of Stomatology degree and completed specialist training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi. His principal clinical and academic interest is head and neck oncology, reflecting his background in oral and maxillofacial surgery. As a member of The J Project Study Group, he has contributed to publications and conference work addressing Hodgkin lymphoma, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, essential thrombocythemia, and the care of patients with inborn errors of immunity.
