Pablo Cresta, a researcher in the Prostate Cancer Translational Research Group at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO), received the Best Poster Award in Advanced Prostate Cancer at ESMO 2026 for work on the BioChiP phase II trial, which investigated carboplatin in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) congratulated Cresta on X:
Congratulations to Pablo Cresta on winning the Best Poster Award at ESMO2026! His poster highlights BioChiP, an academic trial investigating carboplatin in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. Well deserved, Pablo!
Deborah Mukherji, Medical Oncologist at Clemenceau Medical Center, Dubai, also commented on the findings:
“BioChiP phase II: Carboplatin 21.5% RR in pretreated mCRPC, higher RR in BRCA1/2-altered or RAD51-defined HRD tumours. Important implications for biomarker-guided use of affordable treatments in resource-limited settings.”
