Rasha Aboelhassan: From “Over Dreaming” to NGS Success at NCI Egypt

“It was a few years ago when I had that conversation with Prof Ghada Elsayed, Prof of clinical pathology, NCI Egypt:
She was saying that she wants NGS for free of charge, when indicated, for every cancer patient in NCI Egypt, and my answer was: you’re over dreaming and over optimistic.
A few days ago, Prof Ghada received the National Cancer Institute shield in appreciation of her efforts as Executive Director of the NGS project, on the occasion of the project’s overwhelming success.
Very soon, NGS will be done whenever indicated for poor cancer patients in the NCI, free of charge.
