Joanna Metzner-Sadurski: Historic 50 Million Dollar Anonymous Gift to the Medical University of South Carolina
Joanna Metzner-Sadurski, Medical Doctor at Self Regional Healthcare, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”MUSC (Medical University of South Carolina) just received a historic $50 million anonymous gift – the largest in its 200-year history – to transform health care and medical education in South Carolina. This generous donation will allow MUSC to bring cutting-edge technology and innovation to their hospital, which is truly incredible for our state.
But as we celebrate this milestone, we must also remember that smaller hospitals like Self Regional are on the front lines of bringing high-quality care to patients in rural communities who need it most. We don’t have the same resources as MUSC, yet our mission is just as critical – making sure no patient has to choose between expert cancer care and staying close to home.
This is why every donation matters – big or small. Together, through the support of the Self Regional Foundation and our community, we are building, expanding, and bringing innovation to our patients. We are working hard to establish a comprehensive breast cancer center, expand access to cutting-edge treatments, and continue delivering compassionate, high-quality care where it’s needed most.
I love SELF. I stand with SELF. Together, we can ensure that every patient – no matter where they live – has access to the care they deserve.
Get involved. Support the Self Regional Foundation. Together, we can make it happen. We fly farther and longer if we fly together.”
