A milestone was achieved last week at Gustave Roussy radiotherapy department – Eric Deutsch
A milestone was achieved last week at Gustave Roussy radiotherapy department with the arrival of the first clinical FLASH radiotherapy machine by THERYQ for treating superficial tumors. The first of its kind in France, FLASH KNiFE technology delivers ultra-high dose rates of RT, increasing irradiation from 1 Gy per minute to 150 Gy per second. This very short irradiation time eliminates the effects of organ or tumor motion, and significantly improves precision and target control.
Gustave Roussy will be the first cancer center in France to use this machine, and a clinical study will be conducted to evaluate its efficacy in skin cancer patients.
We are proud to be part of this joint collaboration with THERYQ which promises to shape the future of radiotherapy, and marks an important and key step in our goal to continue to deliver advanced treatment solutions to our patients.
