OncoDaily at ESMO 2026: Where Science Meets Community

OncoDaily at ESMO 2026: Where Science Meets Community

If you are heading to ESMO 2026, we hope you will make OncoDaily part of your plans.

OncoDaily will be in Madrid with a major presence throughout the congress, covering new research, speaking with experts, and sharing the discussions that matter with the global oncology community. ESMO Congress 2026 takes place from October 23–27, and our team is preparing for a busy week.

We are also bringing people together through five events: dedicated Grand Rounds on sarcoma and bladder cancer, a panel on some of oncology’s biggest questions, a brunch for healthcare communications leaders, and the OncoDaily Party.

There will be opportunities to learn, ask questions, meet colleagues, and catch up with people you may only see once or twice a year. Here is what we have planned, and how you can join us.

OncoDaily Grand Rounds at ESMO 2026: Sarcoma Edition

Sarcoma care brings together different disciplines, rare diagnoses, and treatment decisions that often benefit from another expert’s perspective.

OncoDaily Grand Rounds at ESMO 2026: Sarcoma Edition will create space for that exchange. Co-chaired by Professor Robin Jones and Professor Javier Martín-Broto, the meeting will bring sarcoma experts together to discuss recent developments and what they could mean for clinical practice.

Following the Sarcoma Grand Rounds held during ASCO 2026, we are continuing the conversation in Madrid, with a focus on diagnosis, treatment, multidisciplinary care and the questions emerging from the latest evidence.

Whether sarcoma is central to your practice or an area you want to understand better, this is an opportunity to hear from specialists and connect with the wider sarcoma community.

The session takes place on October 23, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at Novotel Madrid Feria and Airport, Calle de Ámsterdam, 3, 28042 Madrid.

It is supported by Agenus and Deciphera as Enhanced Partners, and PharmaMar as a Foundational Partner.

Who Owns the Message? A Brunch on Healthcare Communication

Healthcare communications teams have a difficult job. They need to explain complex science clearly, reach very different audiences, and maintain trust while information moves faster than ever.

AI, social media and misinformation are adding new questions to that work. Who takes responsibility when a message changes as it travels? How do organisations reach the people who need the information? And how can communications, medical affairs, marketing and compliance work better together?

Our Who Owns the Message? brunch will bring a selected group of senior communications, corporate affairs, public affairs and marketing leaders from the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry together to discuss these challenges.

The gathering is designed for candid conversation: sharing experiences, listening to colleagues, and considering what would make healthcare communication more effective.

It takes place on October 24, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, at Club de Golf Olivar de la Hinojosa, Vía de Dublín, S/N, Barajas, 28042 Madrid.

Participation is by invitation only. Interested professionals can submit an expression of interest, and selected participants will receive a formal invitation.

Big Questions During ESMO 2026

Why does one research question receive funding while another does not? What happens when an important trial closes early? When is the evidence strong enough to change practice? And why do patients sometimes struggle to access a treatment even after it has been approved?

These questions come up regularly in oncology, but the people involved in answering them do not always have the opportunity to discuss them together.

Big Questions in Oncology, chaired by Professor Jean-Yves Blay, will bring several of those perspectives into the same room during ESMO 2026. Joining him will be Dr. Julie R. Gralow, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of ASCO, and Martha Raymond, Founder and CEO of The Raymond Foundation and Founding Executive Director of the GI Cancers Alliance, bringing experience in clinical leadership, cancer policy and patient advocacy to the discussion.

The two-hour moderated panel will explore research priorities, clinical trials, regulatory decisions and access to treatment, with contributions from across the oncology community. There will also be dedicated time for questions and participation from the audience.

If these issues affect your work, or leave you wondering how decisions are made, we invite you to join the conversation.

The event takes place on October 24, from 6:15 PM to 8:15 PM, at Casa Ramón, Avenida del Partenón, 10, Barajas, 28042 Madrid.

October 25: Bladder Cancer Grand Rounds

New evidence raises practical questions. Where does it fit into current care? Which patients might benefit? What should the multidisciplinary team consider when discussing treatment?

OncoDaily Grand Rounds at ESMO 2026: Bladder Cancer Edition, chaired by Professor Andrea Necchi, will give colleagues a dedicated setting to explore developments in bladder cancer care.

Through expert presentations and interactive discussions, the meeting will address emerging evidence, treatment strategies and clinical challenges in urothelial carcinoma. It will also offer an opportunity to share experience with colleagues working across medical oncology, urology, radiation oncology and research.

If bladder cancer is part of your clinical or research work, we hope you will join us for an afternoon of learning and discussion.

The meeting takes place on October 25, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Novotel Madrid Feria and Airport, Calle de Ámsterdam, 3, 28042 Madrid.

This event is supported by an independent medical education grant from the Pfizer–Astellas Alliance.
