LungÕ 2026 – Virtual Global Congress on Lung Oncology is an international virtual medical congress dedicated to lung oncology, focusing on early detection, precision diagnostics, multidisciplinary treatment approaches, innovative therapies, and future directions in lung cancer management and care.
Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide, with approximately 2.5 million new cases and 1.8 million deaths reported in 2022, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). In the United States, the burden also remains high: about 229,410 new cases are expected in 2026 (110,910 in men and 118,500 in women), along with an estimated 124,990 deaths (63,040 in men and 61,950 in women).
Outcomes continue to depend heavily on stage at diagnosis. While early-stage disease can often be treated with curative intent, many patients are still diagnosed at an advanced stage, where long-term survival remains limited. Despite this, the past decade has brought meaningful progress.
The treatment landscape has shifted with the widespread use of targeted therapies, immunotherapy, and biomarker-driven approaches. These strategies are changing how both non-small cell and small cell lung cancer are managed, offering longer survival and better quality of life for selected patients.

About the Congress
This focused virtual congress will explore the full clinical spectrum of lung cancer, emphasizing practical, evidence-based management strategies in 2026. The program will address contemporary approaches to early – stage, locally advanced, and metastatic disease through biomarker – driven decision-making and multidisciplinary care. Sessions will examine current treatment principles guiding daily clinical practice, including molecular diagnostics, targeted therapies, immunotherapy, treatment sequencing, management of resistance mechanisms, and individualized patient-centered care across both non-small cell and small cell lung cancer.
LungÕ 2026 – Virtual Congress in Lung Oncology brings together international experts to translate these advances into everyday clinical practice. The focus is on improving treatment selection, refining sequencing strategies, and strengthening multidisciplinary care, while also addressing gaps in access and outcomes aiming to improve survival across all stages of lung cancer.
