A Collaborative Pediatric Cancer Research Awards Program by Rally Foundation
Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research (Rally) helps fund the most promising research initiatives, and we continue to invest in projects as they make progress. To streamline the grant application process for researchers, reviewers and other childhood cancer organizations, we founded A Collaborative Pediatric Cancer Research Awards Program utilizing ProposalCentral for application submission.

Award Categories
20/20: Alumni Visionary Grant – To recognize 20 years as philanthropic seed investors in the next great discovery, we introduce our 20/20: Alumni Visionary Grant, a one-time, competitive grant program with grants up to $100,000 per year for one or two years of support.
Any research project in alignment with the priority areas from a researcher who previously received grant funding from Rally or through Rally from a member of A Collaborative Pediatric Cancer Research Awards Program as the principal investigator will be considered. However, Rally will prioritize research that has a clear and compelling link to a previous Rally-funded research project proposing to either:
- Extend or scale a previous Rally-funded research project; or
- Launch a new research project rooted in insights from a previous Rally-funded research project.
Postdoctoral and Clinical Research Fellow Grant – Grants are up to $50,000 per year for one or two years of support. Fellows in the last year of their fellowship are only eligible for a one-year grant and may apply through the Independent Investigator Grant the following grant cycle.
The Collaborative Organizations have an interest in funding Postdoctoral and Clinical Research Fellows. A portion of available funds are reserved for Fellow Grants contingent on scores received.
Independent Investigator Grant – Grants are up to $50,000 per year for one or two years of support. Researchers under this award identify as either a Young Investigator or an Independent Investigator. Young Investigators are no more than five years post-fellowship. The Collaborative Organizations have an interest in funding Young Investigators. A portion of available funds are reserved for Young Investigators contingent on scores received.
Consortium Grant – Grants are up to $100,000 per year for one or two years of support. Consortiums are three or more institutions collaborating on a grant-supported research project. The success of the project depends on the unique contributions of each collaborating institution.
Outside the Box Grant – Grants are for one year of support. At the end of the award, researchers may apply for additional funding in the next grant cycle through a Fellow, Independent Investigator or Consortium Grant, as appropriate. Each grant will be awarded $50,000 for one year.
