Melvin LK Chua: First Step in Using Deep Learning to Read TILs in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma
Melvin LK Chua, Head of Department of Head, Neck and Thoracic Cancers, Division of Radiation Oncology at National Cancer Centre Singapore, shared a post on X about a paper he co-authored with colleagues published in ESMO Open:
“We know that TILs are abundant in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma.
While it is certainly more complex than quantity, previous work indicated that %TILs may be prognostic in NPC.
We took the FIRST step using Deep Learning to read H+E slides. More to come!”
