Karen Knudsen: Care doesn’t stop with cancer treatment
Karen Knudsen, Executive Strategic Advisor and Immediate Past CEO of ACS, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Impactful piece by the The Wall Street Journal, shining a light on a vital priority in the cancer field: addressing the unique, lifelong needs of cancer survivors.
Thanks to groundbreaking advancements in cancer research, there are over 18 million survivors in the U.S. today—a number projected to grow to 26 million by 2040.
As we face this ‘survivor tsunami,’ it’s crucial to ensure that survivors have the support they need. Care doesn’t stop with cancer treatment!”
