“Breaking New Ground: Libya’s First Participant in Our Policy Advocacy Course
We are proud to introduce Dr. Naziha Saed Khamees Abdullah, an oral medicine specialist from Libya and one of the first Libyan participants in the Policy Advocacy in Genetics and Genomics course (10th Cohort), organized by Pan-African PGS Education and Research Initiative (PAPERI).
In her inspiring reflection, Naziha shares how this experience connected her dental expertise with the transformative power of genomics—from early cancer detection to personalized treatment plans.
She calls for equitable access to genetic advancements, proper training for doctors, and strong ethical guidelines to protect patients—ensuring these innovations reach everyone, not just a few.
Her goal? To bridge the gap between genomics and everyday medicine, empowering clinicians to use genetic insights for better diagnosis, treatment, and a healthier future.
Watch her full reflection here.
This is Africa for Africans in action—especially young women leaders from across the continent, shaping our health future.”
