Eduardo Bruera: Implementing I-PASS Among Inpatient Palliative Care Clinicians

Eduardo Bruera, Chair of the Department of Palliative, Rehabilitation and Integrative Medicine and Medical Director of the Supportive Care Center at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper he co-authored with colleagues published in Cancers:

“A palliative care team replaced email handoffs with EMR-integrated I-PASS. Within six months, utilization exceeded 99%, with clinicians reporting higher accuracy, shorter length, and less time required. I-PASS was strongly endorsed as an effective handoff tool.”
