IARC Monographs programme

IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization shared a post on LinkedIn:

“The IARC Monographs programme identifies cancer hazards.

This is different from cancer risk.

A cancer hazard is capable of causing cancer under some circumstances.

Cancer risk is the probability cancer will occur based on the routes and levels of exposure to the hazard.”
