The Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only NCI-designated center in Western North Carolina, recognized for its excellence in research and patient care among just 57 comprehensive cancer centers in the U.S. This prestigious designation underscores the center’s commitment to the highest standards in oncology.

The center is organized into four primary areas of focus: Cancer Genetics and Metabolism, Cancer Prevention and Control, Neuro Oncology, and Signaling and Biotechnology.
