Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: Mammography access and radiological findings over a 2 year period at Medicaid Cancer Foundation

“New Publication Alert!
We looked at mammography access and radiological findings over a 2 year period at our MEDICAID CANCER FOUNDATION.
565 studies done between January 2020-December 2021 were reviewed.
Routine screening was the predominant indication, at 64% whilst 36% presented with symptoms such as breast pain or lump.
We linked the high screening uptake to our demand generation (via NGO) activities and provided financial subsidies which promote breast care.
Mammography is an invaluable part of breast care in our locality and a national screening policy is required.”
