Real data of LARCT-US Swedish prospective cohort study on high risk rectal cancer
Hyun Kim, Radiation Oncologist at Wash University Radiation Oncology, shared a post on X about a recent paper by Bengt Glimelius et al., commenting:
“LARCT-US Swedish prospective cohort study published! 273 patients with high risk rectal cancer, rapido inclusion, but older and more advanced tumors treated with Short-course radiotherapy (SCRT) and 2 less chemotherapy cycles than rapido. 3-year LRR 6% no more events past 3-years. Real data.”
Total neoadjuvant treatment using short-course radiotherapy and four CAPOX cycles in locally advanced rectal cancer with high-risk criteria for recurrence: a Swedish nationwide cohort study (LARCT-US) published in eClinical Medicine.
