Advancing RAS(ON) Inhibition in Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer-Revolution Medicines

Revolution Medicines, shared on LinkedIn:

”We’re pleased to announce the U.S. FDA has granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation to our RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor in combination with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel for previously untreated metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC), a treatment setting in which the combination is being investigated.

This latest designation further supports our broad RAS(ON) approach to addressing some of the most difficult-to-treat cancers and reflects the urgent need for new first-line treatment options for people with metastatic PDAC.”

Quoting  Alan Sandler, M.D., Chief Development Officer of Revolution Medicines:

“This Breakthrough Therapy Designation underscores the significant unmet need for people with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma and recognizes the importance of advancing new treatment options earlier in the treatment journey.”
