The Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA) Research Grants 2027 support preclinical, translational, and clinical research aimed at improving the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of human sarcomas.
Researchers may apply for $75,000 in total funding for one year. SFA welcomes proposals across all areas of sarcoma research and accepts applications from investigators in the United States and internationally. The program uses a two-stage application process beginning with a Letter of Intent due November 6, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must hold an MD, DO, PhD, or international equivalent degree.
- Investigators may be based inside or outside the United States.
- The PI is responsible for overall project management, research oversight, and required deliverables.
- International applicants must be able to prepare budgets and accept grant funding in U.S. dollars.
- Returning SFA investigators and grantee institutions must be in compliance with all previous SFA reporting and grant requirements.
- SFA welcomes applications across all areas of sarcoma research.

- Grant period: July 1, 2027–June 30, 2028.
- The $75,000 award represents the maximum total cost, including indirect costs.
