Sarcoma Foundation of America Research Grants 2027

The Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA) Research Grants 2027 support preclinical, translational, and clinical research aimed at improving the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of human sarcomas.

Researchers may apply for $75,000 in total funding for one year. SFA welcomes proposals across all areas of sarcoma research and accepts applications from investigators in the United States and internationally. The program uses a two-stage application process beginning with a Letter of Intent due November 6, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must hold an MD, DO, PhD, or international equivalent degree.
  • Investigators may be based inside or outside the United States.
  • The PI is responsible for overall project management, research oversight, and required deliverables.
  • International applicants must be able to prepare budgets and accept grant funding in U.S. dollars.
  • Returning SFA investigators and grantee institutions must be in compliance with all previous SFA reporting and grant requirements.
  • SFA welcomes applications across all areas of sarcoma research.

Funding Details

  • Maximum award: $75,000 USD.
  • Duration: 1 year.
  • Grant period: July 1, 2027–June 30, 2028.
  • The $75,000 award represents the maximum total cost, including indirect costs.

  • LOI deadline: November 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST.
  • Full application invitations: January 15, 2027.
  • Invited full application deadline: March 5, 2027.
  • Award notification: Mid-May 2027.
