2025 NETRF Investigator Award

The Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF) Investigator Award provides 270,000 USD over two years to support innovative and transformative research in the field of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). The award funds basic, translational, or clinical research that aligns with NETRF’s strategic research priorities, including early detection, novel therapies, precision oncology, and mechanisms of tumor resistance and progression.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must hold an MD, PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree.

  • Must be faculty-level (Assistant Professor or higher).

  • Research must be conducted at a non-profit academic or research institution.

  • Open to international applicants.

  • Applicants from for-profit entities (e.g., biotech or pharma) are not eligible.

  • Research focusing on small cell or large cell lung cancer, prostate NETs, or using embryonic/fetal tissue is not eligible.

Funding:

  • 270,000 USD total over 2 years (135,000 USD/year).

  • Indirect costs up to 10% are included in the total award.

  • Funds may be used for PI salary (up to NIH cap), research staff, supplies, equipment, and research-related services.

  • Awardees must attend and present at the NETRF Annual Research Symposium.

Deadline:

  • Full applications: June 23, 2025, 5:00 p.m. ET

  • Awards announced: October/November 2025

  • Project start date: January 2026
