The Breast Surgery Fellowship at MSKCC is a one-year program designed for fully trained general surgeons seeking advanced experience in breast surgical oncology and benign breast disease management. Fellows receive comprehensive training in surgical techniques, multidisciplinary care, clinical research, and leadership development under the mentorship of internationally recognized faculty.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be eligible or certified by the American Board of Surgery or an equivalent certifying body.

  • Must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of New York.

  • Demonstrated commitment to a career in breast surgical oncology and academic medicine.

Funding Details:

  • Duration: One year.

  • Five new fellows are accepted annually.

  • Fellows receive full-time clinical and research training with access to NIH-funded research programs, clinical trial participation, and mentorship.

  • Financial support includes a salary and benefits commensurate with postgraduate training level.

  • Support is provided for attendance at national meetings where fellows present research.

  • Applications typically close in December 2025 for the July 2026 start.
