The CCS Challenge Grants support innovative, multidisciplinary research projects aimed at solving significant problems (“challenges”) across the cancer continuum. Projects must demonstrate direct relevance to people affected by or at risk of cancer and align with the CCS Research Goals.
Eligibility Criteria:

Open to investigators across all disciplines and research stages addressing a defined cancer-related challenge.

Research must align with CCS Research Goals and demonstrate clear impact for people affected by or at risk of cancer.

Applicants must comply with CCS eligibility and grant expense policies.
Funding Details:

Maximum funding: 175,000 CAD per year for up to 3 years (total up to 525,000 CAD).

Funding covers direct research costs, including salaries, supplies, and equipment.

Equipment costs must not exceed 15% of the total requested budget.

Indirect costs are not eligible.

Funding start date is retroactive to June 1, 2026.
