
ESO CTC Fellowships at Institute of Oncology Ljubljana
3–6 month ESO Clinical Training Centre observerships at Slovenia’s national cancer institute. Fellows join multidisciplinary teams across breast and gastrointestinal oncology, with an additional 1–3 month clinical cancer genetics option. Rotations include clinics, MDTs, and opportunities to observe imaging, pathology, genetics, epidemiology, and palliative care; research exposure is available.
Eligibility Criteria:

Doctors specialized within the last 5 years (or completing by start).

From Europe, Mediterranean countries, or Latin America.

Prior ESO participation (≥1 ESO event or ≥5 e-ESO sessions).

Language: Good English for non-Slovenian speakers.

Track: Visiting Observership (programme-specific).
Funding Details:

ESO economy travel reimbursement + EUR 2,000 gross per month.

Duration: 3–6 months (Breast, GI); 1–3 months (Clinical Genetics).

ESCO credits: 120 (3 months) or 240 (6 months); pro-rated for shorter stays.

Trainee covers any medical-council registration costs; accommodation not provided.
