
RFA: The Role of Health Policy and Health Insurance in Improving Cancer Prevention, Early Detection, and Treatment Services
This RFA seeks rapid‐learning health policy research that evaluates how recent federal, state, and local insurance reforms impact cancer prevention, screening, treatment, and survivorship. Studies should leverage natural experiments—such as Medicaid expansion, ACA marketplaces, and state-level policy changes—to measure effects on access, equity, affordability, adequacy, and administrative simplicity of cancer services across diverse populations.
Eligibility Criteria:

Must be a full-time faculty investigator at a U.S. academic institution or eligible non-profit.

RFA open to resubmissions only (previous applicants may revise and reapply).

Independent principal investigators at any career stage.
Funding Details:

Mechanism: American Cancer Society Research Scholar Grant (RSG).

Project Period: Up to 4 years (some projects may complete in 2 years).

Budget Cap: $215,000 direct costs per year + 10% indirect costs.
